Q. Does Accentient provide on-site training?

Absolutely. On-site training is usually the best solution for most teams. We can work in your environment, focusing on the specifics of your team and project.

Q. Do we need to have our own computers?

We teach from Microsoft virtual machines, which make our classroom training very portable, with very little setup time. If you have your own computers, and they meet the hardware and software requirements, then we can make use of them. We can also arrange to have laptops shipped to your facility, ahead of the training. Lecture-only training (without hands-on labs) is also available.

Q. What are the hardware/software requirements?

The computers must be capable of running Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 and have at least 10-15GB of free HD space, and 1.5GB of RAM (2.0GB is best), with a fast processor. You can refer to this document for more information. Tip: bring a laptop, which doesn't meet these requirements, to the classroom and remote back to your desktop or a server that does!

Q. What is the maximum number of students per class?

There really is no fixed upper limit. Our mentors have presented to thousands of people at once. Ideally, a class contains 6-12 students.

Q. Can you customize your courses to meet the unique needs and skill level of our staff?

Definitely. We know that every team has unique strengths, weaknesses, and requirements. We can pick/choose what topics make the best fit, including various process and technology topics.

Q. What is the cost to have Accentient provide training?

We follow a simple pricing model based on a daily rate. This is a fixed rate, regardless of the number of students. Courseware is included, and yours to keep, up to a fixed number of students per an agreement. Additional kits may be purchased. Contact us for more information.

Q. Do you license your courseware?

Yes. In addition to being available for our clients, we also license our courseware to other consultants, trainers, and training partners. That said, our courseware contains very advanced materials, and should only be used by experienced SDLC practitioners to deliver training. We would ask that you contact us for more information.
